Lead Vocals & Guitar
I have the greatest admiration for songwriters - it's an extraordinary skill I simply don't have. Instead, I "cover" songs that some remarkable person or group of people have already created.
As an individual performer, I gravitate to songs I can sing (no AC/DC for me) and songs with a dominant guitar role. Sometimes the guitar part is particularly catchy or melodic, but I like to let it out of the cage now and then too.
One thing I can promise is you'll hear a lot of different music when I perform. Variety is, after all, the spice of life.
Professionally Mixed Tracks
Properly used, backing tracks simply serve to expand an individual musician's possibilities. Backing tracks are for BACKING - horn sections, accordions, and kick-butt background singers add to the experience. But, no performer or band can let the backing tracks steal the show.
I use backing tracks because the music I like to perform is mostly music associated with multi-musician bands. Check the videos I've posted under the "portfolio" tab to see what I mean.
